Sadly an awful budget with little slashing of expenditure within our over bloated government departments.

When the press release claims a 1% increase in GDP over the next twenty years, you know there is something seriously wrong. Our current government is borrowing even more than their out of touch profligate predecessors.

It is little wonder that so many our leaving our shores.

I am so pleased that my daughter and her daughter have chosen to live in a country, where money isn't wasted on "cultural indoctrination", and where real education is valued.

Why are we still paying for child care, school lunches etc. Surely Working for Families was meant to cover this? You breed 'em, you feed 'em!

We are producing a generation of welfare dependent morons.

Like most I was caught up all day generating tax and not following the news so this was a great synopsis to read of budget day outcomes without all the spin one gets from Stuff / RNZ etc.

If you thought the treemap chart was nifty, you should see the bubble charts! If only I could work out a relevant metric to use them for. 😀

Very nice summary, thank you Ani. Alas, freedoms and human agency continue to be quietly eroded while we are dazzled by the kaching of the coin.
