Another great common sense commentary. Keep up the good work.

I thought I would share the gist of an exchange I had with our local Mayoress as it demonstrates how totally out of control and out of touch local government is with ratepayers.

I contacted the Mayoress and pointed out that she and our council, despite most campaigning on the promise to rein in expenditure, had allowed our rates to increase by more than 34% over three years.

To my astonishment, she replied that her platform had been one of getting more "government funding" i.e. taxpayer's money, including those from ratepayers like me. She then proudly listed all the funding that had been secured!

I went back and asked why, as she had successfully manged to get tens of millions from taxpayers, was it necessary to put up rates by in excess of 34%. Her final response was to tell me to stand in the upcoming election! Lol!

We need legislation capping rates, and to get rid of LGNZ, who are using ratepayers money to fight against the idea of a rates cap. Absurd!

I feel like I am finally reading balanced reporting. Keep up the great work. The MSM need to hang their heads in shame.

As always, I learn something new Ani; thanks.

I completely missed the stance of what some might describe as the more responsible parties back in 2019, if this article is correct:

"The National Party is discussing, and ACT is proposing, vaccine coercion, while Winston Peters has personally endorsed mandatory vaccination."

WOW!

And Luxon was advocating cutting some benefits if people didn't get jabbed!*!

As for Keir Starmer allowing 16 and 17 year olds to vote at the next UK general election; I understand that was an election promise. Hope it doesn't catch on here!

And the shocking case of poor wee Malachi Subecz; is it correct that WINZ were warned 3 times?

Nice summary, ta. Stanford can spend all she likes on new schools, but if they’re teaching Maori BS as gospel, the kids are screwed. She’s a fool.

Seymour’s letter is great, the woke UN ‘rappers’ can fuck right off. They’re to blame for Key signing that stupid agreement. (And Key being a useless twat didn’t help…)

And finally, the sad story of Malachi. Breaks my heart. Interesting to see the confluence of two cultures in that case. Maori, so many of them well versed in child bashing. And an Indian immigrant, with scam & bullshit hard wired into his DNA. Ah, celebrate the diversity huh?
