You're correct Ani in the media promoting the Tax Old People (TOP) party. I noticed on Three Stuffed News last nite they had a one on one interview with the TOP leader I believe TVNZ did the same. I guess their darlings the Greens and labor are not doin g too well in the polls so time to promote another extreme left party to try and get labor across the line in November. Time to defund that NZ media.
The Women’s Rights Party gets NO coverage on mainstream media. Only ‘alternative’ outlets The Platform and Reality Check Radio will cover WRP. In MSM, gender critical groups ( those standing up for the protection of sex based rights) are simply branded ‘anti trans’ and dismissed. How does a party gain traction if its policies get no MSM air time at all? Many, if not most, WRP members are political refugees cancelled by Labour and/of the Greens.
This Teal outfit are really the Greens in disguise, dressed up in Corporate respectability, but with the same socialist, take from hardworking Kiwis and redistribute their wealth to the young, under achievers, whilst projecting themselves as the new opportunity for the future!

Lets be clear, Opportunity sit right in between Labour and the Greens.
One of the first things I learned when working for a media organisation in the 80s was that everything the newrsoom was enthusiastic about was an extraordinarily bad idea: unions, socialism, favouring typewriters and carbon paper over computers, strikes, cheap booze and cigarettes, instant coffee, training as a journalist... TOP joins that list.
Perhaps the Media will do a series of articles one day covering all the successful, well off, democratically free Countries that are operating under a Socialism Government. Shouldn't take them to long.
I see this a little differently. First I find it hard to believe that 5% of voters will go with the Opportunity Party. Secondly if they do, the large majority will be taken by tired Labour / Greens voters who see two parties that are stale with no real policy's. Three. yes the urban liberal media have jumped on the Opportunity Party big time, but is that because they too are finding it hard to believe Labour / Greens have much of a future (similar to the Democrats in the U.S or Labour in the UK). I guess what I'm trying to say is, the Opportunity Party is a bigger problem for the two major left parties and I imagine they will need to attack them soon before the election just as we are seeing National going after NZ First and leaking heavily about Mr Jones etc.

In the story, two swindlers convince an emperor that they have made him a magnificent suit visible only to intelligent and competent people. Afraid of appearing foolish, everyone pretends to see the clothes, even though the emperor is naked. Finally, a child states the obvious truth: “But he/she isn’t wearing anything at all!”
Well yes, the media is a conduit but, let's face it, Qiulae Wong brings charisma into the equation, which none of the other parties have. Neither Labour not National have anything credible to say, same old same old. Left and right are becoming like brothers and sisters, so that is no longer an issue, the issue is trust or better stated the lack of it in the incumbents.
My hope is they get 4.8% of the vote.
Thus wasting a lot of votes on that delusional side of the divide.
