Thanks Ani for highlighting this

Being a victim of how slowly (and how expensive getting involved in the justice system is) the wheels of justice move, I'm am appalled that these perverts are able to get an urgent injunction, and also curious about who is paying for it....

Having been amazed to learn InsideOUT receives Govt funding (thanks Jacinda), it becomes really double-appalling if WE are paying for them to initiate Court action.....

SK's avatar

I would also like to know who is paying for this. The cynic in me wonders if it is the taxpayer via several layers of "charity" beauracracy

As head of PATHA Jennifer Shields had shared the news that Cass (the Cass Review) should be thrown in the trash a day after it was published. The PATHA website said that almost all of the available research was ignored by Cass. This was an outright lie. I know because even the Media Council found a story that made this claim to be untrue. https://www.mediacouncil.org.nz/rulings/jan-rivers-against-the-spinoff/ And PATHA members frequently have the gall to say that they are correcting misinformation. https://thespinoff.co.nz/politics/04-12-2024/gender-affirming-care-affects-a-small-minority-so-why-the-public-consultation They do not deserve to be taken seriously.

Will Genspect apply to intervene Jan? I was thinking today you’ll be the best option I think.

They sound like criminals to me.

I think this will be a good thing. Sunlight disinfects. Once the country sees the inverted reality these lunatics live in, they will get no more sympathy.

I feel for the young people that have been coerced into making irreversible changes to their bodies because of these fruitcakes.

We need accountability at the highest levels. Heads should be rolling over this whole saga.

Brett Sangster's avatar

Agreed, but how much "sunlight" gets through the "justice" system remains to be seen.

Ani O’Brien's avatar

That is my overarching worry

I think the transactivists have taken several cases that have rebounded on them badly. The Good Law project in the UK embarassed itself trying to get the LGB Alliance banned from becoming a charity Hundreds of thousandsd of pounds down the drain. https://www.theguardian.com/law/2023/jul/06/mermaids-v-lgb-alliance-whos-involved-in-tribunal-ruling. In the US Skrmetti was lost by a transgender lawyer at the American Civil LIberties Union and on a similar basis to the PATHA case. Transman Lawyer Chase Strangio (a woman) lost the case and stuffed things for trans on this issue. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1228638491763760 The Supreme Court decided states can act in the best interests of children and refusing girls opposite sex hormones when boys were sometimes given it for medical reasons was not discrimination against them.

Kyle Reese's avatar

all good reports. but this isnt over. the quackadoddles are dedicated and wont stop. they will find refuge in blue states of US. GC stategy should focus on getting blue people to see the light

Richard Seager's avatar

They don't care. That hundreds of thousands of pounds was not theirs but the Pharmaceutical industry's. The same industry that tried to force people to take a poisoned jab a few years ago. Strange that the same is supported by sex realists tbh. I would have thought one bit of shit from the Pharma industry (the biggest nastiest shits in town) is the same as another bit of shit from the Pharma industry. But no, Ani was nowhere to be seen in the covid 'wars'. As the same with others.

Richard Seager's avatar

I'm not going to line up with the trans fetishists ever. But nor am I going to not notice who supported Pfizers' shit of a few years ago.

Greg Spark's avatar

Nice conflating there. Stick to the subject, and push your other barrow somewhere else.

Richard Seager's avatar

It's the same barrow. And take your instructions and curl them nicely around your fingers and then stick them somewhere where the sun doesn't shine.

Greg Spark's avatar

You saying its the same barrow doesn't make it so. And the rest of your comment reveals your true nature. Nice man.

Patrick Forbes's avatar

Thank you Ani. This nonsense has to stop and hopefully the courts will declare PATHA to be the vexatious litigants that they are.

Frederick Roth's avatar

They are just men trying to engineer a legal right to practice their sex fetish.

Foxglove Farmer's avatar

And practice it on other people's children. We should declare them a public nuisance and ignore their howls of anguish. And while we're about it, I dont believe any more trials are needed on these irreversible and juvenilising drugs. No offence to juveniles.

The Health Act provides the legal framework for governments to manage public health concerns, particularly in areas of sanitation, infectious disease control, environmental health and child welfare. When PATHA says politicians should not intrude in medical decisions and that the

puberty blockers ban is political, they are rewriting history. They must have forgotten the previous medical scandals involving children - thalidomide, blood contaminated by HIV, hepatitis experiments - all of which also required government intervention to prevent the harm from continuing.

From Shaneel Lal to the Posie Parker protest, transgender activists and hangers-on carry out the most hateful, overt physical and verbal violence.

Yet google “trans violence” and all the stories in the media are unsubstantiated stories about supposed violence against the trans community.

It’s total bullshit constantly propagated by the MSM. Normal people aren’t buying it so why do they persist?

Chris's avatar

Shaneel Lal is planning to run for Parliament under Labour. Jenny Salesa is his mentor. Might be time to tip her out of Parliament.

lee's avatar

She i think after Ardern we wont be fooled by the sneaky way they plant activists in parliament. That labour mp needs to go asap

Indeed

“We will continue to fight their lunacy…”

"This is an ideological tantrum escalated to legal action." Indeed.

Ani you write well and expose the minority activist playbook which on many fronts is ruining this country. if only more or your assessments could be read by more new zealanders. Thank you

Brett Sangster's avatar

Great analysis Ani. NZ Courts can be more than a little woke, so observing the passage of this matter through that swamp should be "entertaining"?

Alan Dickie's avatar

Thanks Ani for your ongoing commitment to being a "voice of reason" in a world of intimidation and politicization of something that should never have been elevated to a rights based issue. Normal medicine around transgender health finished in 2005 when activists took over WPATH and in 20 years have managed to ignore normal standards of proof, suppress data when it didnt support their narrative, and avoid longer term follow. Plus absolutely destroy normal child safeguarding in a way that completely defies belief. The court case outcome should be a very straight forward outcome given what we now know. But ....we live in strange times

Nicolette Levy KC is incredible. Fingers crossed she is involved. She represented LAVA.

Chris's avatar

Right, so who is funding their court case? Follow the money. NZ is small enough for it to be seen as a good test case, to see if Governments can be made to back down. Our judiciary is also weak. These parasites are not going away quietly. Like the African Guinea worm, which starts out as a minute fluke that burrows into the foot, they quietly infested all our institutions and like the Guinea worm, have emerged as a large and dangerous parasite wrecking havoc on society. Shades of Alien!!!

Thanks, Ani. Excellent piece which is useful to us here in England as we challenge the pubrty blocker trial.

Have cross posted.

Excellent analysis Ani! They have all the money, the numbers and the media behind them. But they are still coming unravelled as more people become aware of the insanity of heir demands and the risks posed.

See the massive list of organisations and names that PATHA rounded up to lobby the govt to release their updated guidelines. It's eye watering. https://x.com/pennymarienz/status/1943637318151344476?s=20
