Maori politics, the gift that keeps on giving.

Personally, I find it akin to a slow moving train wreck - you know what’s going to happen, you don’t want to stop it nor take your eyes off the inevitable consequences.

The fact that the most racist party in New Zealand is on the cusp of losing all the race based seats is worthy of much celebration.

I do not care if these seats go to the Marxist Greens or the loony left Labour Party.

Either way it will not increase their number of seats in the House but it will demolish the current “ overhang “thus ensuring the number of MP’s is set at 120.

With the parliamentary year now commencing it is high time that our lackluster Speaker found a spine and enforced a modicum of discipline in the House , particularly involving a higher dress code, stop taking crap from ill disciplined and moronic outbursts from opposition MP’s etc.

Sadly, Brownlee who has coveted his current position for decades has proven to be a total and absolute disaster.

Lacking any intestinal fortitude whatsoever he personifies “ The Emperor Has No Clothes “.

Elect a clown - expect a circus !

Another substantial and thorough week's roundup Ani, quite a few things I wasn't aware of. As for mixing males and females in hospital rooms, it is just wrong. There is no dignity for any patient, male or female when, at their most vulnerable and intimate times, are put in with strangers of the opposite sex. It also means patients of the same sex cannot have open and intimate discussions among themselves. It has to stop.
